Commercial properties and institutions like hotels have adopted renewable energy sources to reduce their energy consumption bills by installing solar panels. These methods will help them to reduce carbon footprints, zero emissions and require less maintenance than the conventional energy methods.

Renowned hotel chains like Ginger Hotels, The Orchid, Sayaji are shifting their focus towards installing solar panels. Leading companies like Waaree Energies ltd, India’s one of the most diversified and fastest growing solar energy Solution Company is also contributing in hotel industry. Waaree claims that this trend is on rise as hotels install solar panel systems for creating healthier environment by reducing cost and helps to decrease long-term operating costs.

Hotels use huge amounts of energy, therefore, investments in more efficient energy use can lead tosignificant reductions in energy consumption. According to the Energy Management in Hospitality report by adopting innovative energy management systems hotel owners can save up to65 percentage of electricity cost.

In India still the concept of solar energy is considered to be in its infancy stage, but industry expert believes this concept holds a bright future and has a long way to go.
