Himachal Pradesh Signs INR 1,400 Cr MoC for Integrated API, Green Hydrogen and Ethanol Facility

Spray Engineering Devices Ltd. has signed a Memorandum of Commitment (MoC) with the Himachal Pradesh government to invest INR 1,400 crore in setting up India’s first integrated API, Green Hydrogen, and 2G Ethanol manufacturing facility in Solan district.

Chandigarh-based Spray Engineering Devices Ltd. has signed a Memorandum of Commitment (MoC) with the Himachal Pradesh government to set up India's first integrated manufacturing facility of API, Green Hydrogen and 2G Ethanol BBN in the Solan district with an investment of about INR 1,400 crore.

Initially, the project would require 30 MW green hydrogen in the first phase and in the coming time it would have a requirement of 50 MW green hydrogen. This integrated facility would offer employment to about 1,000 youth.

The MoC was signed by Director Industries Dr. Yunus on behalf of the state government and Managing Director Vivek Verma on behalf of Spray Engineering Devices, in the presence of Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu.

Speaking on the occasion, Sukhu said that the state government is committed to making Himachal Pradesh a green energy state by March, 2026 and launched various initiatives in this direction. He shared that it was setting up a 1 MW Green Hydrogen plant in collaboration with Oil India Ltd. at Nalagarh in Solan district. He said that the state is set to become a pioneering state in the country in the field of green energy sector and directed the concerned company to complete the project within a period of one year.
