Hero MotoCorp Invests INR 525 Crore in Euler Motors to Boost EV Expansion

Hero MotoCorp has taken a decisive step into the electric vehicle (EV) space by acquiring a significant stake in Euler Motors, a move that marks its entry into the electric three-wheeler segment.

The board of Hero MotoCorp has approved a strategic investment of up to INR 525 crore in Euler Motors Private Limited, to be completed in one or more tranches.

This investment aligns with Hero MotoCorp’s vision to ‘Be the Future of Mobility’ and demonstrates its commitment to growth through both organic and inorganic means. With this development, the company aims to strengthen its presence in the evolving mobility landscape and tap into adjacent business opportunities in the electric mobility sector.

The electric three-wheeler market is projected to see rapid growth in India, with EVs expected to account for 35 percent of total sales in the near future.

Dr. Pawan Munjal, Executive Chairman of Hero MotoCorp, emphasized that the strategic move is a bold step towards sustainable and innovation-driven progress. He highlighted that the collaboration with Euler Motors underlines the company’s adaptability in a dynamic market and reflects its customer-centric approach.

Euler Motors currently operates in 30 cities across India and is engaged in the design, manufacture, sales, and servicing of electric three-wheelers. The company has also recently forayed into the electric four-wheeler commercial segment with the launch of its first product in that category. Hero MotoCorp’s investment is expected to enhance its position as a key player in the future of sustainable and electrified mobility solutions.
