Hero Future Energies Commits USD 1 Billion Investment in Maharashtra for RE Development

The agreement, inked at the Annual Meeting of the World Economic Forum in Davos, outlines plans for the development of renewable energy projects and advanced clean technologies in Maharashtra.

Hero Future Energies has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Mahatma Phule Renewable Energy and Infrastructure Technology Ltd. (MAHAPREIT), signaling a significant investment of USD 1 Billion. 

The agreement, inked at the Annual Meeting of the World Economic Forum in Davos, outlines plans for the development of renewable energy projects and advanced clean technologies within the state of Maharashtra.

The MoU, formalized in the presence of Eknath Shinde, Chief Minister of Maharashtra, sees Amol Shinde, Managing Director of MAHAPREIT, and Rahul Munjal, Chairman and Managing Director of Hero Future Energies, coming together for a strategic partnership.

The substantial investment of USD 1 Billion is earmarked for the development of a diverse range of green energy projects, including solar and wind initiatives, hybrid energy solutions, rooftop solar units, microgrids, and cutting-edge technologies such as green hydrogen and energy storage.

Hero Future Energies, expressed enthusiasm for the collaboration, stating, "We are thrilled to partner with the Maharashtra Government in its pursuit of sustainable economic growth and together usher in a greener future for the state."

This collaboration aligns with the broader goals of promoting sustainable development and clean energy adoption, emphasizing Hero Future Energies' commitment to contributing to Maharashtra's environmental and economic progress.
