Helixx, an EV manufacturing technology company, and Conigital, a key player in driverless vehicle technology, have inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to collaboratively develop a cutting-edge bi-directional autonomous vehicle (AV).

This technology partnership leverages Helixx's distinctive universal vehicle platform and manufacturing architecture to simplify and expedite the complexities associated with autonomous vehicle development. The collaboration focuses on software-led design engineering, harnessing Helixx's streamlined architecture and cost-effective manufacturing strategies to facilitate rapid testing and global implementation.

Conigital and Helixx are actively engaged in co-developing a comprehensive suite of AV software and hardware, aiming to streamline AV development on a global scale. The shared manufacturing and technologically driven philosophies of both companies aim to deliver an 'off the shelf' AV solution into future-proofed vehicle manufacturing systems.

Powered by Helixx's proprietary 'factory in a box,' the initiative seeks to lower the barriers to entry for electric autonomous vehicles.

The partnership seamlessly integrates autonomous technology with EV innovation, targeting the reduction of obstacles in urban mobility. The resulting platform is designed to be an 'autonomous-agnostic framework,' adaptable for various autonomous vehicle use cases.

Through this MOU, Helixx and Conigital express their commitment to research and development, focusing on innovative approaches that harmonize driverless technology and electric vehicle platforms into a rapidly deployable solution.

This joint development agreement represents a concerted effort to challenge traditional transportation boundaries, ushering in a new era of mobility, the companies said.

This approach is envisioned to be adopted globally, from advanced smart cities to closed-fence autonomous systems and the bustling streets of emerging megacities.
