HD Kumaraswamy Assumes Role as Union Minister of Heavy Industries
Upon assuming his new position, Minister Kumaraswamy engaged in meetings with senior officials of the ministry and heads of public sector undertakings.

H.D. Kumaraswamy took charge as the Union Minister of Heavy Industries, marking his new role with a ceremony at Udyog Bhawan.
He was welcomed by Secretary Kamran Rizvi and senior officers of the ministry, who expressed their support and readiness to collaborate on future initiatives.
Upon assuming his new position, Minister Kumaraswamy engaged in meetings with senior officials of the ministry and heads of public sector undertakings (PSUs). These discussions set the stage for his plans to address key issues in the heavy industries sector, aiming to significantly contribute to the country’s economic growth.
In his first media interaction as the Union Minister of Heavy Industries, Kumaraswamy emphasized his dedication to national development. "We will work sincerely for the entire country’s prosperous growth," he asserted, highlighting his commitment to resolving the challenges faced by his ministries with a focus on elevating India’s GDP growth.
In addition to his responsibilities in the Heavy Industries Ministry, Kumaraswamy, a JD(S) leader and former Chief Minister of Karnataka, has also been entrusted with the Steel Ministry portfolio.
