In a significant step towards promoting renewable energy, the Department of New & Renewable Energy in Haryana opens the PM-KUSUM State Portal from August 18, 2023 till August 22, 2023. This initiative is aimed at facilitating the collection of beneficiary contributions and the selection of vendors from among the applicants for Solar Water Pumps on the SARAL portal and electric pump applicants.

The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE), Government of India, has provided vendors and rates for six specific categories. However, they have also requested rates for additional categories, and these rates are expected to be made available shortly. Following the receipt of these rates, the portal will be reopened to accommodate the remaining categories. Applicants will have the opportunity to modify their previous choices as needed.

Here's a breakdown of the beneficiary share for the available categories:

3 HP DC, Surface (Monoblock) with Normal Controller: INR 53,926
7.5 HP DC, Submersible with Normal Controller: INR 1,13,629
10 HP DC, Submersible with Normal Controller: INR 1,42,170
10 HP AC, Submersible with Normal Controller: INR 1,40,759
10 HP DC, Submersible with Universal Solar Pump Controller: INR 2,02,253
10 HP AC, Submersible with Universal Solar Pump Controller: INR 2,06,486

Previously, the PM-KUSUM State Portal was opened for the selection of solar water pump types by tube-well connection applicants of DISCOMs up to 10 HP from April 28, 2023, to July 15, 2023. During this period, a total of 4,023 applicants made their choices regarding the type and capacity of solar water pumps they wanted.

Following this scrutiny, a total of 45,648 applications (41,770 from SARAL and 3,878 from power utility applicants) are shortlisted for the submission of the beneficiary share. Regrettably, 3,413 applications were found to be ineligible and were rejected, as per the scheme guidelines (See Annexure-I & II).

This announcement represents a significant stride in Haryana's commitment to renewable energy and sustainable agricultural practices. The MNRE is expected to provide the rates for additional categories soon, further expanding the scope of this initiative.
