Harsh Shah Resigns as CEO of Azure Power

Renewable energy producer Azure Power announced its Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Harsh Shah has resigned from his position with immediate effect.

Renewable energy producer Azure Power announced its Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Harsh Shah has resigned from his position with immediate effect.
 

Alan Rosling, Chairman of the board, said: “The board very much regrets Harsh’s unexpected decision to leave the company after joining only from July 1, 2022. We wish him well for the future.“

The company announced the appointment of Rupesh Agarwal as its Acting Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

Shah has been appointed as the CEO and whole-time director of IndiGrid Investment Managers and the investment manager at IndiGrid Trust. In a regulatory filing, IndiGrid Trust said that the appointment comes into effect from 30 August.

Speaking on his resignation, former CEO Shah said, "The Indian renewable energy sector is thriving with a great potential to play a leadership role in energy transition globally and Azure is placed very well to seize the big growth opportunity that India presents, and he was looking forward to working with the team to deliver Azure's potential".
