The H2EXPO & CONFERENCE, the international forum for the production, distribution and use of hydrogen, will be held on a new date.
For two days from June 28th to 29th, 2023, the future of the energy transition will once again be the focus of attention at the Hamburg Messe site.
After a successful kick-off event last September, this truly innovative industry event will be held at the Hamburg Exhibition Centre, biannually in even years parallel to WindEnergy Hamburg, the leading global trade fair for the wind industry.
In addition, Andreas Arnheim, who has already made a name for himself as project manager for WindEnergy Hamburg in the field of renewable energies, will also assume control of the H2EXPO & CONFERENCE with his team, with immediate effect.
"Following the successful premiere event, we made some additional adjustments, and adapted to the current market situation," explained Bernd Aufderheide, CEO of Hamburg Messe und Congress (HMC), regarding the decision. “The new date for the H2EXPO & CONFERENCE at the end of June next year will precede the nationwide summer holidays and is ideal for the exhibiting companies, our partners, and for decision-makers from industry and business. The planned holding of the annual industry event parallel to WindEnergy Hamburg every two years has also been received extremely positively. "In addition, Andreas Arnheim, as an experienced colleague, is taking over its management. He is well connected in the field of renewable energies and will work with our partners to drive further conceptual development in the future."
Claus Ulrich Selbach, Head of the Maritime & Technology Trade Fairs Division at HMC, is also convinced: “The new date fits perfectly within the concept of the H2EXPO & CONFERENCE, which offers a forum for innovation drivers from politics and business in Hamburg, one of the leading hydrogen destinations in Europe, for the cross-sectoral market ramp-up of the hydrogen economy. The city's projects and infrastructure are ideal for establishing a novel hydrogen economy networking platform. Our exhibitors also recognize this.”
André Steinau, CEO of GP JOULE Hydrogen GmbH, summarised all of this: "The H2EXPO & CONFERENCE in conjunction with WindEnergy Hamburg provides a perfect platform to present and discuss technologies. This is where all the threads combine and, along with the excellently designed conference programme, this event represents a major milestone on the road to emission-free, hydrogen-based mobility."
Key players and hidden champions of the hydrogen economy presented themselves for the first time at the H2EXPO & CONFERENCE in September parallel to the WindEnergy Hamburg event.
The successful combination of highly innovative state-of-the-art technologies and processes with a multifaceted lecture program in a separate hall was extremely well received. An independent visitor survey revealed that 88 percent of visitors were enthusiastic about the conference programme.
