Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam (GUVNL) has signed Battery Energy Storage Purchase Agreements (BESPA) with Advait Energy Transitions and HG Infra Engineering under GUVNL’s BESS Phase IV tender.
While BESPA with Advait Energy Transitions is for the capacity of 50 MW/100 MWh, the capacity for the BESPA with HG Infra Engineering is 250 MW/500 MWh.
The capacities were awarded in GUVNL’s 500 MW/1000 MWh standalone battery energy storage systems (BESS) auction held in November 2024.
HG Infra Engineering quoted a tariff of INR 2.259 lakh/MW/month and Advait Infratech quoted a tariff of INR 2.26 lakh/MW/month.
“This transformative project is backed by the Viability Gap Funding (VGF) Scheme from the Government of India – powering India's shift to firm and dispatchable renewable energy,” the company stated in a post.
