Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam (GUVNL) has invited bids for the procurement of 600 MW of grid-connected solar power projects in phase XXI.
Located in Khavda, the solar park is owned by Gujarat Industries Power Company (GIPCL). Reportedly, there is also a greenshoe option of an additional 600 MW capacity in the tender.
While the deadline for submitting online bids is August 1, bids would be opened on August 4 in the morning. A bid processing fee of INR 300,000 along with 18 percent GST needs to be deposited through electronic mode.
An earnest money deposit of INR 400,000 per MW needs to be submitted by the bidders in the form of bank guarantee along with the response to RfS after the letter of intent is issued but before the power purchase agreement (PPA) is signed.
The power project must be connected to the substation via a 33/400 kV internal pooling substation of the solar park. Bidders from bordering countries who are willing to participate in the bidding need to register themselves with the competent authority.
The solar modules used in the projects should have a warranty for peak output wattage, with minimum values of 90 percent after ten years and 80 percent after 25 years from the project’s commercial operation date.
GUVNL has instructed the use of solar modules listed on the MNRE’s Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM).
