Greenzo Energy India Ltd. (GEIL) has partnered with France’s EODev (Energy Observer Developments) to introduce EODev’s hydrogen fuel cell power generator GEH2 equipped with Toyota technology to India and Nepal with potential plans to expand into an OEM and strategic partner for the company.

This alliance also marks the introduction of Toyota’s state-of-the-art hydrogen fuel cell technology in South Asia. As India’s sole manufacturer of 100 percent Made-in-India alkaline electrolyzers, Greenzo Energy will not only distribute EODev’s zero-emission generators but also provide maintenance services, targeting high-demand sectors such as agriculture, telecom, and transportation.

By replacing conventional diesel generators, these scalable, emission-free alternatives align with India’s mission to reduce fossil fuel dependency.  This long-term partnership includes provisions for local assembly of EODev products by GEIL, supporting the government’s ‘Make in India’ initiative while generating green technology jobs and strengthening the domestic hydrogen ecosystem.

Commenting on the association  Sandeep Agarwal, Founder and Managing Director of Greenzo Energy India Ltd., said, “We are proud to partner with EODev to bring their Toyota fuel cell power hydrogen generators to South Asia. This collaboration is a significant step toward replacing fossil fuels with sustainable alternatives, enabling clean energy solutions that not only contribute to a healthier environment but also unlock substantial revenue opportunities for Indian industries. Greenzo Energy was chosen after a rigorous evaluation process, highlighting our deep technical expertise, extensive network, thorough understanding of the product, and proven capability in delivering efficient maintenance operations.”

“As India’s only indigenous alkaline electrolyzer manufacturer for green hydrogen production, we add backward integration to this partnership, ensuring a seamless and sustainable supply chain for this advanced hydrogen-powered technology. EODev’s solutions have already attracted strong interest from sectors such as telecom, defense, and government. With India’s push to phase out diesel generators in critical areas, this partnership marks EODev’s strategic footprint in India after establishing a strong market presence in regions such as France, Belgium, Algeria and beyond.  We are projecting a business potential of USD 10 million in the first year of operations; this venture will meet India’s increasing demand for clean energy solutions,” added Sandeep.

Commenting on the collaboration Jérémie Lagarrigue, CEO, EODev, said, “We are thrilled to partner with Greenzo as the official distributor of EODev’s GEH2® hydrogen fuel cell power generators in India. This collaboration represents a significant milestone in our expansion into this key market, where clean and reliable energy solutions are crucial to addressing the challenges of the energy transition. We have full confidence in Greenzo’s expertise to promote and support the deployment of our technologies across India, and we look forward to working together towards a more sustainable future.”

The collaboration aims to redefine India’s renewable energy landscape by leveraging EODev’s global expertise and Greenzo Energy’s local manufacturing capabilities. Together, they will accelerate India’s transition to zero-emission power systems, helping the nation emerge as a global leader in sustainable hydrogen energy and accelerate the National Green Hydrogen Mission.
