NTPC’s auction to develop 1,200 MW ISTS-connected wind-solar hybrid power projects has received a tariff of INR 3.28-3.29/kWh.
Green Prairie Energy (EverGreen) and Adyant Enersol quoted the lowest tariff of INR 3.28/kWh and have won 200 MW and 70 MW, respectively.
Adani Renewable Energy, Sembcorp Green Infra and ReNew Solar Power have won a capacity of 600 MW, 300 MW and 30 MW, respectively. All of them quoted a tariff of INR 3.29/kWh.
The tender for this was floated in June this year.
According to the tender document, wind power projects must adhere to the government's guidelines for wind power development. For solar modules and balance of systems, the technical guidelines for grid-connected solar PV systems, as well as any relevant guidelines in effect at the start of power supply, must be followed.
The wind-solar hybrid projects can be developed anywhere in India, with the solar and wind components located either together or separately. Additionally, these projects should not be part of any State or Central program, nor should they have obligations to sell power to specific beneficiaries.
