Noida-based GP Eco Solutions India Ltd. has announced that it has received a Letter of Award (LoA) from the Uttar Pradesh New and Renewable Energy Development Agency (UPNEDA) for two grid-connected solar projects, with a cumulative capacity of 5.3 MWac, worth about INR 30 crore.

It will involve the development of a 2.3 MWac grid-connected solar power project at Etawah, and a 3 MWac grid-connected solar power project at Kanpur Dehat, Uttar Pradesh, under the PM-KUSUM Component-C2 Scheme through the RESCO model.

This project contributes to expanding solar energy adoption in Uttar Pradesh under the PM-KUSUM scheme, the company stated in a regulatory filing.

The company also secured an order for an EPC turnkey contract for a 128 MWp ground-mounted solar power project amounting to about INR 300 crore.

The project will be commissioned in modular phases – 40 MWp + 40 MWp + 48 MWp, within a period of 18-24 months, the company stated in a separate filing.

Last month, the company signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the New and Renewable Energy Department, Government of Madhya Pradesh. The MoU outlined an INR 1,000 crore investment by the end of FY-2028 to develop solar power infrastructure in the state. The company intends to set up a 5 GW solar panel manufacturing and a 2 GW solar cell manufacturing line.
