GoodWe and Skill Council for Green Jobs Inaugurate a Two-Day Solar Training Session in New Delhi

The event started with the inaugural session followed by the lighting of the lamp. Subrahmanyam Pulipaka, Chief Executive Officer of National Solar Energy Federation of India was the chief guest at the event.

GoodWe inaugurated a solar training session at India Habitat Centre, New Delhi in collaboration with the Skill Council for Green Jobs (SCGJ). Aimed at empowering participants with customized knowledge on solar inverter performance, operation & maintenance of solar systems, the training session provided an opportunity to showcase their skills in a friendly competition. The event started with the inaugural session followed by the lighting of the lamp. Subrahmanyam Pulipaka, Chief Executive Officer of National Solar Energy Federation of India was the chief guest at the event.
 
The two-day innovative Training Event is to be held on October 12-13. Deepak Rai, Associate Vice President - Standard and Research, Skill Council for Green Jobs (SCGJ) set the tone of the session and added that around 550000 candidates have been trained by SCGJ since its inception and more than 120000 are exclusively trained for solar-related job roles.
 
Monika Kumari, Marketing Manager-India GoodWe shared her perspectives on skilling in solar. GoodWe is a global manufacturer and innovator of residential and commercial smart solar inverters, energy storage solutions and PV building materials. The company’s arm GoodWe Solar Academy (GSA) is dedicated to providing pre-sales support beyond expectation and becoming an open platform for knowledge sharing and communication in terms of PV industry, products and applications to all people in this field.
 
Subrahmanyam Pulipaka, Chief Executive Officer, National Solar Energy Federation of India talked about the immense potential and progress of solar energy in India. He said that solar energy is all set to contribute almost 300 GW to the 450 GW of renewable energy target that India aims to achieve by 2030. He added that around 230 GW of solar energy needs to be installed in seven years which brings the count to 35 GW every year. The inaugural session was concluded with a vote of thanks by Deepak Rai.
