Gensol Engineering Secures Contract for 33 MW Solar Power Project in Chhattisgarh

Gensol Engineering will also oversee the commissioning of the project.

Gensol Engineering Limited, a prominent player in the renewable energy sector, announced that it has successfully secured a contract for a 33 MW AC solar power project from Sarda Energy and Minerals Ltd (SEML), a leading steel production company and exporter of ferro alloys.

The solar power project is set to cater to SEML's captive use at its Kharora plant in Chhattisgarh. The scope of the contract encompasses a comprehensive set of responsibilities, including design, engineering, procurement, and construction of the solar power facility. 

Ashish Verma, VP of Business Development, Gensol Engineering Limited said, "The project, destined for captive use at Sarda Energy's plant, represents a major step in meeting corporate decarbonization commitments."

"This strategic move underscores the company's commitment to expanding its market footprint and capitalizing on the state's dynamic market potential, rich in mineral deposits and industrial growth," he added. 

Gensol Engineering will also oversee the commissioning of the project. The contract, valued at INR 139 crore, inclusive of taxes, reflects the company's commitment to delivering high-quality renewable energy solutions.

The solar power project is scheduled for completion within a swift 6-month timeline, underscoring Gensol Engineering's efficiency in executing renewable energy projects. 

This venture not only signifies a milestone for Gensol Engineering Limited but also underscores the increasing adoption of solar power initiatives in the industrial landscape.
