Gensol Engineering Limited, a solar power engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) services company, has announced the appointment of Kapil K Nirmal as the CEO for its Middle East operations.
Nirmal will be tasked with overseeing the company's Solar EPC business in the region, aiming to drive expansion and establish Gensol as a notable entity in the Middle East solar photovoltaic (PV) sector.
With over 18 years of extensive experience in business development and project implementation across esteemed organizations like Emirates Electrical Engineering LLC, Al Rostamani Group, Siraj Power Contracting LLC, and Amplus Energy Solutions, Nirmal brings a wealth of expertise to his new role. His proven track record in spearheading market expansions and successfully executing key projects positions him as a strategic leader for Gensol's ventures in the Middle East.
Gensol Engineering boasts a portfolio of over 600 MW in various solar projects in India, encompassing rooftop, ground-mounted, and floating installations for commercial, industrial, and public sector clients. Building on its success in India, Gensol has already made strides in the UAE, laying a strong foundation for further growth in the Middle East region.
Anmol Singh Jaggi, Managing Director of Gensol Engineering Ltd., expressed confidence in Nirmal's appointment, emphasizing its alignment with the company's hyper-growth phase. "We at Gensol are at a hyper-growth phase, with trust and commitment shown on us in India, the initial successes in UAE, and Mr. Nirmal’s appointment will help us continue our strategic growth and expansion in the Middle East," shared Jaggi.
In his remarks, Nirmal conveyed his enthusiasm for joining Gensol and contributing to its mission of providing clean energy solutions. "I am delighted to join Gensol and be a part of this highly motivated and passionate team, who thrive on providing clean energy solutions. We are confident to create greener footprints in the region and help build Gensol’s name by developing key projects with our partners in the public and private sectors," he stated.
Nirmal's academic background includes studies at the University of Cambridge and the Indian Institute of Management Calcutta (IIM Calcutta). He has furthered his expertise in sustainable technologies through specialized courses, including Business and Climate Change: Towards Net Zero Emissions from the Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership and certification as an emerging sustainable technology expert by The European Energy Center (EEC).
