Gautam Solar has made significant strides towards transforming the country’s energy landscape by delivering 60 MW of high-efficiency indigenously manufactured solar panels for the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Urja Suraksha evam Utthaan Mahabhiyan (PM-KUSUM) Yojana.

Gautam Solar's 10BB Mono PERC Solar Panels boast distinctive features, including larger M10 cells for enhanced power generation, multi-busbar technology to minimize electrical losses, round ribbon connectors for improved light utilization, bifacial technology enabling power generation from both sides, non-destructive cell cutting for improved reliability and lower chances of micro-cracks, and half-cut cell technology for superior low-light performance.

Gautam Mohanka, Managing Director of Gautam Solar Private Limited said, “Gautam Solar has played a key role in helping the country’s energy transition goals by supplying high-quality BIS and ALMM approved solar modules to solar power plants & government supported program. We believe that to achieve sustainable development, it is important to develop domestic supply chain for renewable energy to meet the rising energy demand in the country.”

The government has set major sustainability targets, including increasing renewable energy capacity to 500 GW by 2030 (such that renewables constitute 50% of the energy mix) and reaching Net Zero emissions by 2070. To go about this, it has launched a number of schemes, of which PM-KUSUM Yojana is a prominent one. It has been a major boon for farmers and has played a key role in making agriculture more sustainable by utilizing both barren and cultivated agriculture lands to be used for putting up solar power plants. It has also helped farmers in areas where either grid electricity was non-existent or unreliable.

To help the country transition to clean energy, Gautam Solar is in process of increasing its capacity to 5 GW with the addition of a new fully automated robotic manufacturing facility in Bhiwani, Haryana.
