GAIL Inks MoU with Shell Energy India for Ethane Sourcing

GAIL (India) Limited inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Shell Energy India Private Limited to explore alternatives and opportunities in diinguish factors of the energy value chain.
The company discussed about the MoU contemplates searching possibilities in the import and managing various hydrocarbons which are significant chemical and petrochemical precursors, LNG for road transport, gasworks of imported LNG, renewable and others.
It is to be observed that GAIL is proposing to import ethane from the US to put back natural gas and naphtha as feedstock at petrochemical plants.
The firm owns and functions a network of around 14,830 kilometres of natural gas pipelines stretched all over the length and breadth of the country.
