FICCI Signs MoU with MAHAPREIT to Promote Renewable Energy in Maharashtra
FICCI has partnered with MAHAPREIT through an MoU to advance renewable energy, decarbonisation, and energy efficiency initiatives in Maharashtra, by facilitating demand aggregation across various sectors, making sustainable solutions more accessible and affordable for MSMEs.

This partnership aims to advance sustainable energy solutions by facilitating renewable energy projects, aiding industries in adopting decarbonisation practices, implementing energy efficiency measures for large-scale industries and SMEs, and ensuring alignment with environmental regulations.
Commenting on the development, Dinesh Joshi, Co-Chairman of FICCI Maharashtra State Council, said, “FICCI is committed to supporting the Maharashtra Government in its efforts to drive the state’s journey towards sustainable development. This partnership with MAHAPREIT will enable us to drive impactful initiatives in renewable energy and environmental sustainability.”
Bipin Shrimali, Managing Director of MAHAPREIT, added, “Joining hands between FICCI and MAHAPREIT will begin a new chapter in cooperation between Industry and Government of Maharashtra, especially in the area of climate change concerns, renewable energy transition, and futuristic energy demand integration.”
The MoU will enable demand aggregation across various sectors, making sustainable solutions more accessible and affordable for MSMEs. This collaboration leverages the expertise and networks of FICCI and MAHAPREIT to support Maharashtra's goal of achieving net-zero carbon emissions.
