EverEnviro Resource Management has sealed a significant deal with Torrent Gas, backed by GAIL India Ltd, to supply compressed biogas (Bio CNG) in Punjab. This strategic initiative aims to tackle the pervasive issue of stubble burning, a major contributor to the hazardous smog prevalent in northern India.

Operating under the CGD Synchronisation scheme, EverEnviro's Sangrur RNG Pvt Ltd and Patiala RNG Private Ltd are set to produce an estimated 15 tonnes of Compressed Biogas/Bio CNG daily.

"This is not just about sustainable energy production; it represents a fundamental shift towards a circular economy," emphasized Mahesh Girdhar, MD and CEO of EverEnviro Resource Management.

The project is poised to make a substantial impact, utilizing over 40,000 metric tonnes of paddy residue annually per plant. This could potentially curtail stubble burning across 40,000 acres, reducing emissions and substituting fossil fuel-based emissions for end-users.

The initiative is expected to support approximately 1,500 Village Level Entrepreneurs (VLEs) per project, who will supply paddy straw/bales as biomass for the plants. Additionally, these facilities are projected to produce over 25,000 tonnes of Fermented Organic Manure each year, promoting soil health and regenerative agriculture.

EverEnviro is also involved in the production of eight more compressed biogas projects across Punjab.
