Emerson and REnergy Dynamics Partner to Boost Automation in India's Bioenergy Sector
Emerson and RED have formed an exclusive partnership to bring advanced automation technologies to India’s biogas industry, aiming to improve efficiency, productivity, and safety in Compressed Bio-Gas (CBG) projects and support India’s clean energy goals.

REnergy Dynamics (RED), an India-based firm offering an integrated platform for sustainable bioenergy projects, has signed an exclusive distributor agreement with Emerson, a US-based company providing innovative solutions for essential industries worldwide.
The partnership aims to accelerate growth in India's bioenergy sector by introducing state-of-the-art instrumentation and precision flow measurement technologies designed to enhance efficiency and productivity in CBG production.
The Indian biogas market, currently valued at USD 1.47 billion, is projected to grow to USD 2.25 billion by 2029, with RED poised to leverage automation’s role in this expansion. RED’s Chairman and Managing Director, Kushagra Nandan, highlighted the importance of the collaboration: “We are delighted to partner with Emerson to provide CBG developers in India access to leading-edge automation technologies that enhance operational efficiency across each phase of the CBG manufacturing process.”
Nandan emphasised the alignment of the Emerson agreement with RED’s strategic focus areas, which include large-scale bioenergy projects, engineering services, feedstock aggregation, and CBG component manufacturing. By integrating Emerson’s precision instruments, CBG developers are expected to achieve higher output and efficiency, ensuring a competitive edge in the clean energy market.
Emerson’s Vice President and Managing Director for India, Anil Bhatia, expressed the company’s commitment to environmental sustainability, stating, “Our collaboration with RED will facilitate the adoption of technologies that reduce emissions and advance resource conservation, supporting India’s shift to renewable energy.”
RED’s CEO, Varun Karad, highlighted the operational benefits, noting that automation technologies from Emerson will streamline production, reduce downtime, and enhance safety across CBG production and distribution. Through this collaboration, both companies aim to foster rapid advancements in India’s bioenergy landscape, advancing its role in the country’s transition to sustainable energy.
