EIB Global Director Meets IREDA CMD for Collaboration on RE Financing

European Investment Bank (EIB) Global Director Maria Shaw-Barragan recently met IREDA CMD Pradip Kumar Das to discuss renewable energy projects and financing. The meeting was held at IREDA’s corporate office.
Talking about the potential collaboration, Das said, "IREDA is committed to supporting the growth of renewable energy in India through financing, and we will be happy to be partnering with the European Investment Bank to achieve our climate goals. This collaboration will provide much-needed support for the development of renewable energy and green hydrogen projects in India, helping to open up new opportunities for the country's citizens and advancing the Government of India's goal of achieving 50 percent of its installed energy capacity from non-fossil fuels by the year 2030."
IREDA CMD also discussed the opportunities that would be created in different segments including renewable energy, green hydrogen, green ammonia, e-mobility, battery storage, etc. enabling stakeholders to leverage the resources. Maria Shaw-Barragan appreciated IREDA for its growth over the few years and for qualitatively financing the RE projects. The meeting was attended by various officials of IREDA.
