EG Solwin, Welspun, NLC India and Adani Win NTPC’s 1200 MW Wind-Solar Hybrid Auction
NTPC’s auction for 1,200 MW ISTS-connected wind-solar hybrid power projects has attracted an L1 tariff of INR 3.35/kWh. EG Solwin Renewables (Enfinity Global), Welspun Renewable Energy, NLC India and Adani Renewable Energy Holding Twelve (Adani Green Energy) have emerged as winners.

EG Solwin Renewables (Enfinity Global), Welspun Renewable Energy, NLC India and Adani Renewable Energy Holding Twelve (Adani Green Energy) have emerged as winners.
EG Solwin Renewables has secured 300 MW at a tariff of INR 3.35/kWh. Welspun Renewable Energy and NLC India have won 250 MW and 450 MW, respectively at a tariff of INR 3.35/kWh.
Adani Renewable Energy Holding Twelve has bagged 200 MW, out of quoted 600 MW, at a tariff of INR 3.36/kWh, under the bucket-filling method.
The tender for this was floated in October 2024.
NTPC will enter into Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with the selected bidders, for purchase of hybrid power for a period of 25 years.
Developers are free to locate their hybrid project(s) anywhere in India on the land to be identified and purchased/leased by the bidder. The solar and wind projects of the hybrid project may be located at same or different locations.
The tender specified use of only commercially established and operational technologies to minimise the technology risk and to achieve timely commencement of power supply from the projects.
Developers must use type-certified wind turbine models listed in Revised List of Models and Manufacturers (RLMM) issued by MNRE for wind projects. For solar projects, modules must be procured from the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM) list issued by MNRE.
