Energy Efficiency Services Limited (EESL) has signed an MoU with the All India Women Conference Vocational Institute (AVI) to create awareness of renewable energy and energy efficiency.

This strategic alliance encourages its members to make energy-conscious alternatives and adopt a sustainable lifestyle - which are essential prerequisites of an energy-secure future.

Energy Efficiency Services Limited (EESL) is committed to the implementation of Energy Efficiency (EE) projects in the State intended to mitigate the impact of climate change, particularly in the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) sectors.

Earlier, a meeting of senior officers of the State Panchayat Raj and Rural Development, Municipal Administration and Urban Development, and Departments of Industries said the Unnat Jyoti by Affordable LEDs for All (UJALA) scheme implied to EESL’s commitment to EE programs under which over 36.86 crore LED bulbs were distributed across the country, and 47,880 Million kWh of energy were saved annually. This resulted in a minimisation of CO2 emissions by 3.87 crore tons.

All India Women Conference Vocational Institute (AVI) has been functioning in the Climate Change mitigation process since the 1980s through the propagation of alternate energy.

In recent years, the company has been involved with UNFCCC at the global level through WGC and advocated Climate Justice.  At the National level, the firm organises a number of awareness programs on the impact of climate change on women.

The company is enabling training and awareness programmes on energy conservation and energy efficiency to be organised.

Energy efficiency policies and programs can assist in the execution of projects that minimize or reduce energy use during the operation of a system or machine and/or the production of a good or service.

Energy efficiency measures result in decreased energy use, which is in contrast to a utility's business mode that indulges increasing revenue through increased energy demand.
