Israel-based robotic solar cleaning solutions specialist Ecoppia has signed its first-ever hybrid project of 400 MW capacity with Azure Power, an independent power producer (IPP) in India.
The hybrid project has been comprised of two types of installations i.e. fixed tilt and Single Axis Trackers (SAT), along with challenging terrains and varied structures.
Commenting on the development, Jean Scemama, CEO of Ecoppia, said “when Ecoppia was founded 8 years ago we had one simple goal in mind: to allow scalability and enhance profitability for large solar sites around the world.”
“With this project, Ecoppia solidifies its ability to do so, offering Azure Power a wide spectrum of autonomous robotic solutions, supporting their expanding efforts. We believe that with Ecoppia’s newest product, the H4, joining the Ecoppia portfolio, energy companies will be able to achieve faster ROI while safeguarding their assets,” Jean Scemama added.
Ecoppia’s tailor-made long-term and cost-effective robotic solutions are expected to commence deployment from the first half of 2022, featuring its full product suit including E4, T4, and the latest ‘Ecoppia H4’, powered by the patented Helix Technology.
Using safe microfibers and controlled airflow, the H4 channels dust and dirt particles downwards without accumulating them by simply moving horizontally while cleaning vertically.
The company said that the project is part of its framework agreement with Azure Power, emphasizing its ability to supply future needs of clients’ expanding operation.
