Kolkata-based Dynamic Services and Security Ltd. has announced that the company has recently received an offer letter for a ‘Mega Project’ from the Maharashtra government to set up a 1,800 MW solar PV panel manufacturing facility.
The new plant will be set up at MIDC Vile Bhagad in Raigad district of Maharashtra under the ‘Package Scheme of Incentives, 2019’. The company will invest INR 1,080 crore in the plant, it informed in an exchange filing.
Maharashtra seeks to promote industrial development in less-developed regions through incentives under the PSI program. Projects with a capital investment of at least INR 1,000 crore qualify as mega industrial units under this initiative. The company will receive various benefits like industrial promotion subsidy, interest subsidy, electricity duty exemption, and power tariff subsidy.
Dynamic Services and Security has commissioned approximately 250 MW of hybrid power projects, 100 MW of wind energy, 200 MW of solar energy, 10 MW of rooftop solar for commercial and industrial units, 12 MW of residential rooftop solar, and 500 solar pumps.
Earlier this month, the company received a contract worth INR 12.35 crore from SU Ndigo Solar Solutions to set up a 2.30 MWp grid-connected rooftop solar PV plant at Khidirpore Dock-II, Kolkata West Bengal.
