DRDO Issues O&M Tender for Solar Project worth 1 MW in Hyderabad

The Defense Research and Development Organization’s (DRDO) Estate Management Unit has announced that it has issued a notice inviting tender (NIT) for the operation and maintenance (O&M) of a 1 MW solar power project at the Research Center Imarat, Hyderabad.

The scope of work includes the O&M of the 1 MW solar power project, including the maintenance of inverters and transformers. The work will also include the up-keeping of solar modules and the premises.

The last date for the submission of bids is September 17, 2020, and the opening of bids will take place on September 18, 2020. The estimated cost of the work is ₹715,600 (~$9,677) per year.

Interested bidders will have to submit an amount of ₹14,312 (~$193.5) as the earnest money deposit (EMD). Firms registered under Micro and Small Enterprises will be exempted from depositing the EMD and the tender cost. The duration of the entire work under this contract will be 12 months from the date of commencement of work and can be further extended on mutual agreement.

To take part in the bidding process, the bidder should be enlisted with the ED-A category or above of the Directorate of Civil Works and Estates (DCWE), New Delhi. Or, they could be enlisted in the EM-1 category or above with the Chief Construction Engineer (R&D) Estates, Hyderabad.
