Disbursement of subsidy for Solar Water Heating System

The matter for disbursement of subsidy to the Channel Partner (CPs), State Nodal Agencies (SNAs) and other Stakeholders through IREDA for installation of Solar Water Heating System in various States, has been under consideration in this Ministry for quite some time. This issue was also deliberated in the last Operation Review Meeting taken by Secretary, MNRE on 16th June, 2014. Further, IREDA has also given its consent in a meeting held on 18th July, 2014 under the Chairmanship of Joint Secretary (NSM).

After considering various aspects involved, it has now been decided that the subsidy will be released by IREDA to the Channel Partners (CPs), State Nodal Agencies (SNAs) and other Stakeholders for installation of Solar Water Heating Systems by them in various States. For this purpose, IREDA will be provided 1% service charge towards fund handling. The cases/proposals for release of subsidy will be processed by designated officials of IREDA.

IREDA will be provided funds as per requirement for disbursement of CFA to CPs/SNAs and other stakeholders as per provisions agreed upon IREDA will use 'SOLARWHIN' website for subsidy release and for data entry purpose and will submit reports to this Ministry periodically or as decided by the Ministry from time to time. MNRE & IREDA both will have operational control on 'SOLARWHIN'.
