Delta-Q Technologies (Delta-Q) has announced an innovative mid-power charger. announced that it has entered full-scale production of a certain XV3300. This highly efficient charging system is a unique 3-in-1 design that integrates a 3.3kW battery charger, a 500W DC-DC converter to power the vehicle's auxiliary loads, and an EV charging station interface.

These key features are hardened and IP67 rated, providing OEMs with an attractive package to simplify electrification for off-road applications.

Mourad Chergui, senior product manager at Delta-Q, said, "There is no other 3.3kW charger on the market that has a DC-DC converter for auxiliary DC loads and an EVSE charging interface in such a small size. "There is no other option, and once we start full-scale production, we will be able to meet the significant demand we have received since we first announced our initial development."

The 3.3kW charging solution is available in 58.8, 65 or 120 volt DC models and allows OEMs to stack up to three chargers to scale up to 10kW power levels. The XV3300 uses complex algorithms to accurately charge batteries of different chemistries and voltages, maximizing battery life and optimizing charging time.

The XV3300 battery charger is small, rugged and IP67 rated. It is tested for automotive level shock and vibration. A fully sealed aluminum die-cast enclosure protects the charger from dust, liquids and submersion up to 1 meter. The XV3300 is a low voltage charger that optimally charges all battery chemistries and nominal voltages from 48V to 120V.

It also protects against short circuits, overvoltages and overheating to ensure safe operation. The XV3300 is scalable and can be paralleled to deliver power from 3.3kW to 10kW for fast charging. Both on-board and off-board chargers are also available, providing additional flexibility to OEMs.

Provides auxiliary power to power vehicle accessories such as air conditioners, controllers, lighting, turn signals, navigation and communication equipment. It also eliminates the need for an external DC-DC converter, saving space and cost for OEMs and equipment operators.

The XV3300 meets SAE J1772 (Levels 1 and 2) and IEC 61851 (Models 2 and 3) for charging at standard EVSE AC charging stations in North America and Europe. This feature gives end-users more charging options and increases vehicle flexibility.
