Dalmia Cement Seeks Wind Power to Boost Renewable Energy Portfolio

In a strategic move towards sustainability, Dalmia Cement (Bharat) Limited, one of India's leading cement manufacturers, has announced plans to integrate wind power into its energy mix.
The company, a subsidiary of Dalmia Bharat Limited, aims to enhance its reliance on renewable energy and has issued a bid inviting developers to participate in this initiative.
The primary objective is to harness wind power to meet the electricity requirements of its three different locations in Tamil Nadu. According to the Expression of Interest (EOI) notice released by the company, Dalmia Cement is seeking approximately 52.5 MW for its captive needs.
"Interested developers with a proven track record, particularly in group captive projects, are invited to submit their EOIs. Interested developers should include their company profile, experience in group captive projects, technical and financial capability, and proposed project plan in their EOIs," stated the notice issued by the cement manufacturer.
Dalmia Cement acknowledges the environmental impact of the cement industry. The company, established in 1939, takes pride in having one of the lowest carbon footprints globally within the cement industry.
