Cummins India Appoints Prasad Kulkarni as Interim CFO

Cummins India Ltd. has appointed Prasad Kulkarni as Interim CFO, effective January 10, 2025, following Ajay Patil's resignation, bringing over 21 years of expertise in financial planning, accounting, and governance.

Cummins India Ltd. has appointed Prasad Kulkarni as Interim Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Key Managerial Personnel of the Company, effective January 10, 2025.

Kulkarni will hold the position till the time a new CFO is appointed by the Board. The company in a regulatory filing announced that this appointment was unanimously approved by the company’s Board of Directors in a meeting held on December 18, 2024.

It follows the resignation of Ajay Patil, who will step down from the CFO position on January 9, 2025.

A qualified Chartered Accountant, CISA-certified and an Executive MBA degree holder, Kulkarni possesses over 21 years of diverse experience in domains such as financial planning and analysis, consolidations, technical accounting, auditing, project management, corporate governance, capital market transactions, cross-border deals.

He has been with Cummins India since July 2014 and is currently serving the Company as the Finance Controller for the Distribution Business.

At Cummins, Kulkarni has been involved in controlling, financial planning and analysis, technical accounting, consolidation, audits, project management, governance, automation to drive efficiencies etc.

Prior to joining Cummins, Kulkarni worked in consulting wherein he was involved in various audits of large MNCs and banks, compliance and governance, corporate restructuring, and capital market transactions such as FCCBs, QIPs etc.
