CPSEs to Set Up 30.8 Kilo Tonne Green Hydrogen Production Capacity
Indian Oil Corporation Ltd. has set up green hydrogen capacity of 7 kilo tonnes per annum in Haryana which is expected to get completed by 2026 whereas Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd. has installed similar project in Andhra Pradesh.

Several Central Public Sector Enterprises (CPSEs) are setting up green hydrogen production capacities in the country. According to the information given by the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, Indian Oil Corporation Ltd. has set up green hydrogen capacity of 7 kilo tonnes per annum in Haryana which is expected to get completed by 2026 whereas Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd. has installed similar project in Andhra Pradesh.
Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd. has set up a project of 10 kilo tonnes per annum in Madhya Pradesh. Numaligarh Refinery Ltd. has established a project of 5 kilo tonnes per annum in Assam. Both the projects are expected to be completed by 2030.
Meanwhile, in Karnataka, a project of 0.5 kilo tonnes per annum is being established by Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Ltd. Chennai Petroleum Corporation Ltd. (CPCL) has launched a project of 1 kilo tonne per annum in Tamil Nadu which is expected to be completed in 2026-2027.
Power minister R.K. Singh has further informed that no funds have been released under the National Green Hydrogen Mission.
