CMPDI Invites Bids for 70 MW Ground Mounted Solar PV Project in Madhya Pradesh

Central Mine Planning and Design Institute Ltd. (CMPDI) has invited bids for a 70 MW grid-connected ground-mounted solar power project at Kanhan Area, WCL, in Chhindwara district, Madhya Pradesh, with an estimated cost of INR 395 crore. Bid submission ends on January 18, 2025.

Central Mine Planning and Design Institute Ltd. (CMPDI) has floated a tender for the design, engineering, supply, construction, erection, installation, testing and commissioning of a grid-connected ground-mounted solar power project with a capacity of 70 MW (AC) with a minimum 40 percentage DC overload capacity at Kanhan Area, WCL in Chhindwara district of Madhya Pradesh.

The scope of work includes all civil, structural, and electrical works and all other accessories and facilities required to make it complete in all respects including power evacuation, connectivity approvals and comprehensive operation and maintenance of the plant for 10 years. The project needs to be commissioned in 18 months.

The estimated cost put to tender (inclusive of GST) of the work is INR 395 crore.

Bidders need to pay an earnest money deposit (EMD) of INR 50 lakh.

The last date for submission of bids is January 18, 2025. The techno-commercial bids will be opened on January 20, 2025.

The bidder must possess experience of having successfully completed similar works during the last 7 years ending the last day of the month previous to the one in which bid applications are invited.

For three similar completed works, each work must not cost not less than the amount equal to 20 percent of the estimated cost put to tender. For two similar completed works, each work must not cost not less than the amount equal to 25 percent of the estimated cost put to tender. For one similar completed work, it must not cost less than the amount equal to 40 percent of the estimated cost put to tender.

Here, similar works mean work related to the design, supply, installation, testing and commissioning of solar PV grid-connected ground-mounted or rooftop or floating solar power plants.

As for financial eligibility, average annual financial turnover during the last 3 financial years, must be at least 30 percent of the estimated cost put to tender.
