Danish investment company Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP) has partnered with domestic renewable energy producer Viviid Renewables to develop 1,800 MW of primarily those in the onshore wind segment projects.
The partnership contains Viviid sharing projects from its evolved pipeline in India to the initiative, along with serving activities with CIP leading the sourcing of off-takers, procurement activities and the monetising process.
The CI NMF fund was set up in 2019 with the fund majorly aims greenfield renewable energy infrastructure projects in rapid evolving firms in Asia and Latin America, and some nations in Eastern Europe.
Siddharth Mehra, founder of Viviid, said: “We are very excited to be partnering with CIP to accelerate delivery of our project pipeline over the coming years.
“Through this long-term partnership, we aim to further strengthen our contribution to India’s ambitious target of installing 500GW of generation capacity from renewable sources by 2030.”
CIP begun through its Copenhagen Infrastructure New Markets Fund (CI NMF), will keenly concentrates on onshore wind projects. It will evolve two onshore wind projects with a 500MW integrated capacity, with the purpose to work on further projects carrying out CI NMF funds.
