Chandra Sekhar Sakhamuri Appointed as Executive Director of REC Ltd.

REC Ltd., a Maharatna Central Public Sector Enterprise under the Ministry of Power and a Non-Banking Financial Company (NBFC) in the power sector, has appointed Chandra Sekhar Sakhamuri as its new Executive Director, effective January 14, 2025.

Sakhamuri, an Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer (TN:2011) from the Tamil Nadu cadre, holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of Madras and a Post Graduate Diploma in International Business from Puducherry University.

Before his appointment at REC, he worked as the Director of Sericulture in Salem, Tamil Nadu, where he managed and promoted the growth of the State's sericulture industry.

This strategic appointment is part of REC Ltd.'s ongoing efforts to strengthen its leadership team, ensuring it is well-positioned to meet the challenges and opportunities in the evolving power sector landscape.
