The company's flagship product, the Ather 450 electric scooter, quickly garnered attention for its performance and advanced features, setting a new standard in the market.

A key development was the establishment of the Ather Grid, a network of fast-charging stations, effectively addressing the critical concern of range anxiety and paving the way for wider EV adoption. Moreover, Ather Energy's emphasis on indigenous technology development not only strengthened the domestic EV industry but also showcased India's capabilities on the global stage.

The surge in hybrid and electric vehicle sales underscores a significant shift towards sustainable mobility, driven by innovative companies dedicated to advancing EV adoption nationwide. Start-ups like Revfin, ARENQ, and Ather Energy, alongside established players like Delta and Sun Mobility, are leading the charge by offering inclusive financial solutions, innovative battery technologies, efficient charging infrastructure, and collaborative initiatives with government agencies and industry stakeholders. Meanwhile, India is also taking steps to recycle lithium batteries.

“India is a country that has been dependent on other nations to get the adequate raw materials such as lithium for lithium-ion batteries which are essential components in today's electronic world. With the advent of EVs the need for Quality Lithium ion battery is higher than ever before and is only going to increase exponentially from here onwards.

At such a juncture, India has no option but to enhance its prowess in recycling the Batteries on its own and not let the precious raw material go out of the country only to be exported back to India as a raw material to build newer batteries. Due to the limited availability of raw lithium mineral in India, naturally the focus has to be shifted to recycling as much as possible. There have been multiple reports of human resource abuse as well as child labour and labour rights violation from multiple countries that mine important elements like Lithium.

With the new Government policies which are pro recycling of such precious elements, and adequate provision to boost circular economy such as Mandatory EPR. I am truly optimistic about India's potential to emerge as a leader in Circular Economy Implementation, given the new government policies that prioritize recycling of precious elements and promote a sustainable future,” said Rajesh Gupta, Founder & Director, Recyclekaro.

Together, the companies are reshaping the automotive landscape and paving the way for a greener, more sustainable future in transportation.
