The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has registered a case against three former officers of Satluj Jal Vidhut Nigam Ltd. (SJVNL), a prominent PSU under the Government of India, along with individuals associated with a private company.

The case revolves around allegations of causing a substantial loss of approximately INR 191 crore to SJVNL.

The complaint suggests that the private company, in collaboration with the accused officers, provided a faulty feasibility report for the installation of a Wind Power Plant.

The investigation further reveals a conspiracy wherein proper supply and installation of equipment and materials, as specified in the tender, were allegedly neglected, leading to the underperformance of the Wind Power Plant situated at Khirvire/Kombhalane, District Ahmednagar (Maharashtra).

During the probe, searches were conducted at seven locations, including Delhi, Ghaziabad, Gurgaon, Samana (District Patiala, Punjab), and Chennai. These searches, carried out at the premises of the accused, resulted in the recovery of crucial documents shedding light on the alleged irregularities.

The accused are now under the scrutiny of the investigative agency as the CBI aims to uncover the truth behind the reported scam.

As the investigation unfolds, more details are expected to emerge, providing a clearer picture of the events leading to the substantial financial loss incurred by SJVNL.
