BW Energy Joins Hand with IFS for Global Oilfield Development

Global cloud enterprise IFS announced that Bermuda-based BW Energy has selected IFS Applications enterprise resource planning (ERP) and enterprise asset management (EAM) software to aid its global oilfield production and development strategy.

This will enable BW Energy to drive global enterprise-wide efficiencies spanning multiple business functions, including asset management, supply chain, human capital management (HCM), and finance.

The IFS solution will also assist BW Energy in managing carbon emissions as it develops new oilfields and enhances the maintenance of its offshore production assets. The software will help BW Energy to plan, schedule, and resource maintenance activities in advance, enabling the company to make changes quickly and easily.

For starters, BW Energy is deploying IFS Applications across its operations in the US, Norway, Brazil, West Africa, and Singapore. More country sites are expected to follow suit.
