BrightNight has signed a power purchase agreement with NTPC to supply 110 MWac of firm and dispatchable renewable energy (FDRE). It secured the capacity under NTPC’s 3 GW renewables-plus-storage tender with a competitive bid of INR 4.72/kWh.

“Developed on the Inter-State Transmission System, this clean power will be delivered from our 350 MWp solar-wind project with 100 MWh battery energy storage system in Rajasthan and will run over 25 years,” stated the company.

Once operational, this project will directly support India’s energy transition, grid modernisation, and decarbonisation goals.

In February 2025, BrightNight India signed an MoU with the Government of Madhya Pradesh at the Global Investors Summit 2025 to invest up to USD 1.2 billion in renewable energy.

“We plan to develop up to 1,200 MW of solar, wind, and storage-based projects over the next five years to expand the state’s clean energy capacity,” stated the company.
