State-owned Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd (BPCL) will outlay INR 49,000 crore for the augmentation of the petrochemical and renewable energy capacity project at its Bina refinery.
The key element of the augmentation initiative is the ethylene cracker project, which will execute the manufacture of crucial petrochemicals.
The project involves the set-up of an ethylene cracker complex, downstream petrochemical plants, along with the augmentation of the refinery potential from 7.8 MMTPA to 11 MMTPA and correlated amenities at Bina refinery.
This is a considerable capital expenditure of around INR 49,000 Crore, this venture represents an important milestone for BPCL and the energy sector as an whole.
The augmentation of the Bina refinery will give the increasing demand for petroleum products in central and northern India and facilitate the crucial feedstock to the ethylene cracker complex.
