BPCL Introduces 12 EV Chargers on Delhi-Jalandhar Highway and to Set up 7,000 Chargers in 5 Years
Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited is planning to ramp up Electric Vehicle Fast Charging Corridors throughout the country.

BPCL targets at converting its 7,000 conventional Retail Outlets into Energy Stations facilitating various fueling alternatives.
The 12 BPCL retail outlets are built vitally along the highway (part of NH-44) as under the initiative to providing a solution EV owners’ range anxiety.
The 750 Km long distance of NH-44 is marked as the fourth in EV Fast Charging Corridor in the nation, with fast charging stations at around every 100 Kms on both sides of the highway.
Chennai-Trichy-Madurai, Chennai-Bangalore and Bangalore-Coorg were the first three Electric Vehicle Fast Charging Corridors established by BPCL.
The fast chargers can be self-manageable without any manual help although support staff will be available when required.
The organisation has drawn the plan to avail electric vehicle charging stations at about 7000 energy stations over subsequent 5 years.
With a purpose of sustainable solutions, the entity is developing an electrifying ecosystem and a path to achieve a Net Zero Energy Company by the year 2040, in Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions.
