Bondada Engineering Secures INR 108.9 Cr Smart Solar Street Light Project in Bihar
Bondada Engineering Ltd. has secured an INR 108.9 crore work order from Bihar Renewable Energy Development Agency (BREDA) for a smart solar street light project under the Mukhyamantri Gramin Solar Street Light Yojana in rural Bihar.

Hyderabad-based infrastructure EPC company Bondada Engineering Ltd. has secured a work order worth INR 108.9 crore from the Bihar Renewable Energy Development Agency (BREDA) for a smart solar street light project in rural Bihar.
The scope of work includes the design, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of a smart solar street light system on the identified existing electric pole under the Mukhyamantri Gramin Solar Street Light Yojana in Bihar, the company shared in an exchange filing.
The contract also includes a comprehensive maintenance contract for 5 years including remote monitoring systems.
The project needs to be completed within 18 months.
In another filing, the company shared that it has successfully commissioned its first IPP solar project with a capacity of 2.80 MW (DC) based in Hyderabad.
“The power generation has already started, the same shall be purchased by Bharat Heavy Electrical Ltd. (BHEL) as per the PPA agreement having a validity of 25 years,” it added.
In March 2024, Bondada Engineering won an EPC contract worth INR 434 crore from Singareni Collieries Company to develop a 67.5 MW solar power project in Telangana's Mandamarri region.
