BluPine Energy, a renewable energy services company in India, has launched new initiatives aimed at sustainable community development in Punjab.
These programs include solar streetlight installations, science labs, and vocational training for youth in three villages in Mansa district (Khaira Khurd, Mankhera, and Jhanda Kalan).
The vocational training, a six-month program, aims to equip 120 students—half of whom are female—with industry-relevant skills, along with placement opportunities for qualified candidates. This initiative is part of BluPine Energy's commitment to economic development, gender inclusion, and skills enhancement at the grassroots level, focusing on marginalised communities.
In addition to vocational training, BluPine Energy is enhancing educational infrastructure by setting up science centers in schools for grades 8-10, encouraging scientific learning and curiosity. Solar-powered streetlights are also being installed across these villages, improving community safety and supporting sustainable practices.
Sanjeev Bhatia, CFO of BluPine Energy, stated, “Our mission at BluPine Energy goes beyond advancing renewable energy. We aim to empower communities with sustainable growth opportunities. By focusing on gender equality and inclusion, we are helping to create a diverse workforce that drives local growth. Together, we’re working towards a brighter, more equitable society.”
BluPine Energy’s community-centered programs aim to build resilient and self-sufficient communities in alignment with the company’s mission of a just transition and sustainable development.
