In a move towards sustainable energy revival, Bihar Renewable Energy Development Agency (BREDA) has announced bids for the empanelment of vendors to connect dormant off-grid solar power projects on government structures to the grid. The initiative aims to bring these projects back to life and integrate them into the state's power network.
The empaneled vendors are required to provide comprehensive operation and maintenance for five years, ensuring the seamless synchronization of the systems with the grid. The projects are categorized into four groups based on their capacities, ranging from 8 kW to 100 kW.
Bidders have until December 21, 2023, to submit their proposals, with the opening of bids scheduled for the following day. To demonstrate commitment, bidders are required to submit an earnest money deposit (EMD) of INR 1.5 million.
Eligible bidders must have a track record of executing solar projects with a cumulative capacity of 350 kW, including at least one 100 kWp grid-connected rooftop solar project in the past five years.
Only solar modules registered in the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy are permitted. These modules must have a minimum capacity of 200 Wp and carry warranties for output peak watt capacity at 90 percent after 10 years and 80 percent after 25 years.
