BHEL Receives INR 6100 Crore Power Project Order from NTPC

Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd. (BHEL) has received an EPC order worth INR 6,100 crore for a thermal power project in Chhattisgarh.

Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd. (BHEL) has announced that it has received a Notification of Award (NOA) from NTPC Ltd. for 1x800 MW Sipat Supercritical Thermal Power Project Stage-III in Bilaspur district of Chhattisgarh.

The estimated value of the EPC order is about INR 6,100 crore and needs to be completed within two years from the date of receiving the NOA. The project includes supply of equipment, erection and commissioning and civil works for the thermal power plant.

This comes a day after the board of NTPC accorded investment approval for the Sipat Super Thermal Power Project, Stage-III (1x800 MW) at an appraised current estimated cost of INR 9,790.87 crore.

The board also approved another investment in Darlipali Super Thermal Power Project, Stage-II (1x800 MW) in Odisha at an appraised current estimated cost of INR 11,130.98 crore.
