BHEL Issues Tender for 5 MW Solar Project in Ranipet

The Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) has floated a tender for the operation and maintenance of a 5 MW solar power project at its premises in Ranipet, Tamil Nadu.

The scope of work includes the operation and maintenance of the 5 MW solar power project at BHEL’s premises in Ranipet. It would also include furnishing labor, materials, safety equipment, and tools, among others. The date for the commencement of operations is March 7, 2020.

The period of the contract is for two years, and interested bidders will have to submit an amount of ₹79,000 (~$1,107.4) as the earnest money deposit (EMD). The last date for the submission of bids is January 31, 2020, and a pre-bid meeting will take place on January 24, 2020.

The contractor should have completed similar work in the past, and the average annual financial turnover should be at least ₹977,000 (~$13,695.7) during the last three years ending March 31, 2019.The applicant should also have completed one project of ₹2.6 million (~$36,447) or two projects of at least ₹1.62 million (~$22,709.3) each or three projects of ₹1.30 million (~$18,223.5) each during the last seven years as on December 31, 2019. The bidder should also have a valid ESA/EA grade electrical license for carrying out the work.
