BHEL Invites Bids for 1,200 MW Solar Projects at Khavda in Gujarat
Bharat Heavy Electricals’ (BHEL) Solar Business Division has issued a tender for the EPC of 1,200 MW solar projects at Gujarat’s Khavda Solar Park, covering the design, construction, and commissioning of four 300 MW blocks, along with a three-year O&M contract. Bharat Heavy Electricals’ (BHEL) Solar Business Division has floated a tender for the EPC of solar projects with a cumulative capacity of 1,200 MW at the Khavda Solar Park in Gujarat.
The scope of work includes design, engineering, supply, construction, erection, testing, and commissioning of 4 blocks of 300 MW solar PV plants totalling 1,200 MW along with the power evacuation system excluding the supply of PV modules and trackers. The bidders also need to offer comprehensive operation and maintenance for 3 years.
Bidders need to furnish an earnest money deposit (EMD) of INR 10 lakh per block of 300 MW.
Selected bidders need to deposit 10 percent of contract value for the supply, installation, commissioning and O&M portion as a security deposit. Further, they need to deposit 0.5 percent of the total contract value for the AMC portion.
The last date for submission of bids is March 20, 2025 till 2:00 PM. The techno-commercial bids will be opened on March 20, 2025 at 2:30 PM.
The bidder must have designed, supplied, erected/supervised erection and commissioned/supervised commissioning of Balance of System of Solar Photo Voltaic (SPV) based grid-connected power plant(s) of cumulative installed capacity of 40 MWp or higher, out of which at least one plant should have been of 10 MWp or higher capacity.
The reference plant of 10 MWp or higher capacity must have been in successful operation for at least six months prior to the date of the techno-commercial bid opening.
As for financial eligibility, the bidder must possess an average annual turnover of at least INR 100 crore per block of 300 MW, during the last 3 years ending March 31 of the previous financial year.
