BCCL Invites Bids for 2 MWp Rooftop Solar Project in Dhanbad
Bharat Coking Coal Ltd. (BCCL) has issued a tender for 2 MWp grid-connected solar rooftop PV projects at various buildings of BCCL in Koyla Nagar Township, Dhanbad, with an estimated value of INR 10.78 crore.

Bharat Coking Coal Ltd. (BCCL) has floated a tender for design, engineering, supply, civil work, erection, testing, commissioning and ensuring net metering as per concerned state/UT policies of a total estimated 2 MWp grid-connected solar rooftop PV project at different buildings of BCCL.
The project will be located at Koyla Nagar Township in Dhanbad, Jharkhand. It needs to be completed within 105 days and the bidder must provide comprehensive operation and maintenance for a period of 5 years.
The estimated value of the tender is about INR 10.78 crore. Bidders need to furnish INR 13.48 lakh as an earnest money deposit.
The last date for submission of bids in January 23, 2025. The techno-commercial bids will be opened on January 24, 2025.
The scope of work includes coordination with BCCL, DISCOM, and CEIG for power evacuation to the nearest substation at the recommended voltage. The scope also covers providing user manuals, drawings, test reports, warranty cards, and other documentation to the beneficiary or BCCL.
A Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system will be implemented for remote monitoring and control of plant facilities, along with necessary communication cables.
The eligible bidder must maintain an adequate inventory of spare parts to ensure system functionality within 48 hours of any breakdown during the warranty period. Additionally, a successful performance guarantee test must be conducted to demonstrate the operation of the rooftop solar plant.
The bidder must possess experience of having successfully completed similar works, as a prime contractor, during the last 7 years ending the last day of the month previous to the one in which bid applications are invited.
For three similar completed works, each work must not cost less than the amount equal to 40 percent of the estimated cost put to tender. For two similar completed works, each work must not cost less than the amount equal to 50 percent of the estimated cost put to tender. Alternatively, for one similar completed work, it should not cost less than the amount equal to 80 percent of the estimated cost put to tender.
Here, similar work will mean supply, installation, commissioning, testing and comprehensive maintenance of grid-connected rooftop solar PV power plant as per the latest MNRE guidelines Including all allied civil/structural works.
As for financial eligibility, average annual financial turnover during the last 3 years ending March 31 of the previous financial year must be at least 30 percent of the estimated cost.
