Ayodhya is set to undergo a remarkable transformation into a solar city as per the visionary plan of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.

The Uttar Pradesh New and Renewable Energy Development Agency (UPNEDA) has taken charge of this initiative aimed at reducing dependence on conventional electricity.

In line with this green vision, Ayodhya is adorned with illumination, and key infrastructure is receiving a substantial push. A unique endeavor in this series involves the installation of solar tree plants in the city's parks, an innovative move toward sustainability.

As part of the initiative, solar trees are being strategically planted in major intersections, routes, and ghats of Ayodhya. Currently, 1 KW solar trees have been successfully installed in 34 parks, while eight parks boast a larger capacity of 2.5 KW.

The ongoing work includes the installation of 1 KW solar trees at six locations and 2.5 KW at ten locations. The goal is to harness solar energy to illuminate the parks and contribute to the city's eco-friendly landscape. A total of 52 locations have been earmarked for this solar transformation.

The plan was to plant solar trees at 52 locations. Of these, 34 parks have already been equipped with 1 KW solar trees, with the remaining locations undergoing installation.

Ayodhya's transition to a solar city, with its innovative use of solar tree plants which not only contributes to sustainability but also adds aesthetic value to the park, is not just a technological advancement but also a step toward preserving the city's cultural and environmental heritage.
